The Science

It begins with one word: Polyphenols.

Among nature's most powerful plant compounds — something most people have never heard of, and scientists can't stop studying.

Remove the polyphenols - and olive oil becomes just fat.

Discover why
Why Laudemio

Not all extra virgin olive oil is created equal.

Commercial olive oils are often produced for scale, cost efficiency and long shelf-life.

Processed, blended, and often exposed to conditions that can reduce naturally occurring polyphenols.

Supermarket shelves full of mass-produced olive oil A bottle of Laudemio on a stone wall in Tuscany

Made for volume. Built for shelf-life.Many commercial oils are produced with cost, scale, and shelf stability in mind, compromising polyphenols and stripping them of vital nutrients.

Harvested for quality. Not for quantity.Exceptional EVOO starts with an earlier harvest, when flavor, freshness and polyphenols are at their peak.
